About us

Made by hand in Sliabhrua
I’m Marc, and every Rua board is made in my workshop in the townland of Sliabhrua, near Headford in Co. Galway. That’s where the name comes from.

I choose each piece of ash, oak, beech, sapele, and walnut by hand, and every board takes one to two weeks to shape, sand, oil, and finish. The shapes repeat, but the grain never does, so the board you receive is truly yours alone.
